To begin, you'll need to prepare your workspace. This requires either a laptop or desktop computer, or an iPad. If you're using a macOS device, it must be version 10.15 or newer, with a minimum of 8GB of RAM and 3GB of disk space. For those using a PC, you'll need a device with Windows 11, at least 8 GB of RAM, and a minimum of 2GB of disk space. If you're working on an iPad, you'll require iPadOS 14 or later, with 4GB RAM and 8 GB of available disk space for installation. Click here for FAQ on system requirements.
After you have set up your workspace, you can begin watching the lessons. The lessons are designed to be bite-sized, making it easy for you to practice as you learn and acquire the skills taught in the course. You will start with the fundamentals, such as utilizing fonts and creating shapes, before moving on to more advanced techniques, like repeating shapes, and using brush and pen tools. Additionally, you'll discover how to save your SVG cut files and verify that they're properly set up.
After gaining new skills, it's time to practice. Since it's difficult to predict exactly how an SVG will cut, testing is necessary. To do this, you'll need a cutting machine such as a Cricut or Silhouette. While there are other cutting machines available, these two are the most popular among crafters. The projects in this course come with clear step-by-step instructions. As you work on these projects, you'll be able to see your designs come to life and become tangible objects!
